Nexford University and UPI Study have formalized an Articulation Agreement, effective April 24, 2026, that creates a streamlined credit transfer pathway for students pursuing undergraduate degrees at Nexford. This agreement allows Nexford to assess UPI Study courses with ACE and NCCRS credit recommendations for possible credit transfer into its undergraduate programs.
This initiative offers learners the opportunity to select from nearly 70 courses that align with Nexford’s curriculum, covering fields such as business, computer science, AI, math, science, and social sciences. The courses are accessible online and can be completed at a learner’s own pace, either before or during their enrollment at Nexford. This pathway is crafted to facilitate a more efficient and cost-effective journey towards a degree, particularly for working adults, career changers, and those with busy schedules, enabling them to enter Nexford with credits already earned.
“At Nexford, we believe the path to a degree should fit the life you already have, not the other way around,” stated Dr. Ann Larson, Chief Academic Officer at Nexford University. She emphasized that the partnership with UPI Study provides a credible and recognized means for learners to begin building towards their degree even before official enrollment, which aligns with Nexford’s mission to enhance access to education.
UPI Study offers self-paced, online college-level courses recommended by ACE and NCCRS, starting from $89 per month. This cost is significantly lower compared to the typical $300 to $600 per credit hour at traditional community colleges. Learners can complete courses, receive an official transcript, and submit these credits to Nexford for evaluation. The complete course equivalency guide, as outlined in Appendix 1 of the agreement, can be accessed at UPI Study’s website.
Nexford University, headquartered in Washington, DC, is a forward-thinking institution prioritizing career outcomes over traditional academic conventions. It offers flexible programs tailored to the needs of working adults, allowing them to integrate AI and complete real-world projects. Meanwhile, UPI Study provides a broad range of ACE and NCCRS-recommended courses that are widely accepted by over 2,100 universities, facilitating a self-paced, deadline-free educational experience.
